Open Enrollment is July 1 - July 31!

Changes for the New Fiscal Year 2021 can be made by submitting the Open Enrollment Task that appeared in your Workday inbox July 1.  All Open Enrollment changes must be in a completed status by July 31.  If you are adding dependents to your coverage, you must also have all dependent documentation submitted to the Benefits Office before July 31.

Open Enrollment Changes are made through Workday via Single Sign-On

Remember to Check:

  • Your Workday Inbox for your Open Enrollment Task.  You need only submit the task if you are making changes to your benefits.
  • Flexible Spending Account is entered for new Fiscal Year (Re-Enrollment is Required Each Year)
  • Did you check the Tobacco Status for you and your spouse?
  • Did you receive your Wellness Credit?  Did you Spouse Receive his/her Wellness Credit?
    • The Two-Step Wellness Program credit has been applied to your calculated premium if you completed both of your activities before August 31st

*The wellness credit does not apply to Graduate Student Employees and Retirees are not eligible to receive the premium credit because they are already receiving the lower premium. The alternate health assessment available on Well onTarget through Blue Access for Members (BAM) can also count toward your wellness credit.

Open Enrollment Changes-Beginning September 1st

  • MDLive Copay is being reduced from $20 per visit to $10 per visit
  • Supervision-Coverage has been added for polycarbonate lenses and standard anti-reflective lenses under the vision plan.  Both will now be covered in full.
  • Healthcare Flexible Spending Account Maximum annual election increasing to $2750
  • Life Insurance Vendor has changed to the Hartford
  • New in A&M Care Plan.  New Coverage Tier Added.  Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas-designated Blue Distinction Centers have a proven record of delivering specialty care and results. Blue Distinction center care includes the following: bariatric surgery, cardiac care, knee/hip replacement, spine surgery, and transplants. This tier will be covered at 90% coinsurance for inpatient services. 
  • Livongo for diabetes and hypertension, Omada for pre-diabetes and pre-hypertension, and Hinge Health for Musculoskeletal conditions are being added as Blue Cross and Blue Shield partner programs. These programs are based on eligibility or diagnosis and include digital tools to assist with these chronic conditions such as a scale or virtual therapy courses. There will be more information provided about these programs after September 1.
  • Family, group and marriage counseling will now be covered by the A&M Care, J, and 65 plus insurance plans.
  • Beginning May 1, 2020, Dependent Life Insurance Plan B was split into Spouse Life B and Child Life B. The premium for Spouse Plan B is $1.05 and Child Plan B is $0.32 (for one or multiple children).

Wellness Credit Information

Two-Step Wellness Instructions

 

Completing any two steps on your MyEvive Personalized checklist* will ensure that you have the lowest rate for your health insurance premiums.

 

Highlights of the Wellness Incentive:

  • Complete two wellness activities between September 1 and June 30. (Due to COVID-19, this has been extended to August 31, 2020.)
  • Applies to employees AND covered spouses enrolled in the A&M Care Plan.
  • A premium reduction of $30 per month will be applied for each individual (you and your spouse) who completes the wellness exam and second task by June 30.
  • Retirees and graduate students enrolled in the Grad Plan will automatically receive the lower premium.
  • You can verify your completion status for the wellness premium incentive by logging into or registering for your MyEvive account at tamus.myevive.com.
  • New employees have a grace period of the current plan year, plus the next plan year.

 

If you choose not to participate in the wellness premium incentive program, you will not receive the $30 premium reduction. Contact MyEvive member services if you believe you have completed a task, but the information is not reflected in your MyEvive account. (note: remember that it can take 6 to 8 weeks from the time of your wellness exam for the claim to process and the incentive to show on your MyEvive account)

  • How do I register for MyEvive? 
    • Go to Tamusmyevive.com click "Register", and follow the prompts. Make sure you have your Unique Identification Number (UIN) on hand
  • Where can I find my Employee ID? 
    • Your ID # is your BCBSTX member ID (Also known as your UIN). It also appears in your health insurance card.
  • What is my Spouse's ID?
    • Both Employee and spouse will use the employee UIN to register.
  • Where can I see if my Wellness Credit applied?
    • You can see your wellness credit applied on your Open Enrollment Document in Workday

 

*New A&M Care participants cannot log into MyEvive until 30 days after their medical insurance start date.
